Feature wall

Hello

I have repainted and re-furnished my open plan living kitchen area. I have purple sofas kelim rug and feature wall which is a warm grey. Called worsted. Other walls are skimming stone. See pic

Any ideas what to put on feature wall? I was thinking a mirror but wall so large 355cm width and 260cm in height

Advice appreciated.

Hi, could you move the sofa that we're seeing the back of to that wall? And then place the chair where the sofa now is? This will open up the room I think, and diminishes that wall, you can then hang a mirror above the sofa if you like.
I prefer art though. Whatever you like. Maybe framed posters or a painting or print on canvas.

Wallpaper and wall decals are fun! I've loved this bedroom over and over again and it's definitely the wall that draws me in. Wallpaper as a feature wall sooooo works!

And the Lighting Company is right, different levels of light would make it cosier. So a floor lamp or a wall lamp would be good additions. And of course a table to put your drink on...

I agree with Carolina.. move the sofa and maybe try out some shelves similar to photo iv included. Some art, photos or whatever you fancy. Will add a splash of colour!

Having different layers of light will definitely make that area stand out a little more in a good way.. Try adding some candles or a lantern which would stand on the shelves.

Big art that ties the room together, a great corner lamp, and an MCM glass-topped coffee table. The table I've added is crazy costly, so if your budget resembles mine, please just regard it as a piece of inspiration I fell in love with.

I would also add some cushions to the chair and sofas picking up the darkest colours and brightest colours in the rug.

Lovely sofas! How about some original abstract art to bring everything together. Here are some suggestions that would work really well in the room. Most pieces are 100cm x 100cm so you could have 2 along the wall.

Hello

Your design looks great, Have you thought about a sideboards or console table, gives you some storage space and will break up the wall you can then hang mirrors or photos higher up to cover more of the wall. Using different sizes of items such as lamps or candles will help to change the perception of the size of the wall.

This console table and mirror would look great in your room. using the white from the doors and adding more subtle pattern like your rug.

Definitely hang either one large picture or put up several in an arty display on that wall. I wouldn't add a mirror; they don't add enough character. A lamp would be good and I also like the idea of swapping the sofa and chair. I'd put art on the other walls, too. Is there space for a coffee table or similar? Add a plant or two and it will be pretty much there.

I say a super big tv and make it a cinema room, it's difficult to tell if you have any windows in there. We had a dark room in the centre of our house but off the kitchen so we made it into our 'den' amd it's now where we as a family spend most of our time, big comfy sofas, cosy rug, foot stools (in mismatched styles) and lots of lamps. Everyone comments on what a good use of space. Architect wanted to put dining table in it but i think he's a man who never eats at a table

I would seriously consider getting rid of one of the sofas to open up the room. I used to have two sofas but the space was always cramped. I replaced one with a small (but comfy) chair, and a large footstool, which doubles as a seat if lots of people are in the room at the same time, The space feels twice as big now! I would put the sofa against the back wall and make a feature reclaimed (horizontal) timber wall behind - to visually elongate the wall, and then hang a large piece of art on it. I always think rooms look so much more 'designed' with big art, rather than big sofas!
