Wall feature for laminate cum TV console

Can someone advise what would be a suitable laminate to use such that it will make the ceiling looks higher?

Hi Trishtham, you can consider to have a see through TV feature wall or a glass panel wall with lower part as your TV console to create the location for TV and space for wall outside bedroom 2 as the location for sofa. If You want a spacious living room space, can even consider to extend the study room wall to push the TV feature further towards dining area.

When you said hide, do you mean for it to be out of sight when you want to? If so, then you should install a cover panel. Couple of ways - the conventional one is a sliding or hinge type (like the top kitchen cabinets you see now in the market) or you can choose to have a sort of translucent glass and put everything behind it. Only when you switch on the TV, then you can see it .

Hi Janet, ok I originally sketched on my tab (red) as 1 BR then modified on my phone (blue) for 2Br. hope you’ll get the idea. Master’s with walk-in closet, connected bath with added door (for sharing). kept store at end, open kitchen, Living rm ok to fit a sofa with tv/media cabinet. For dining, I’m seeing to combine your work and dining table. get another similar table to combine with your 1.7 table. (or if budget allows get a long table 1 piece.) dining side you put benches and work side get a high chair. this setting becomes the main feature of your house( my idea only not a rule) the bookshelves be on 1 side and can be longer as needed. hope this brings you more ideas for your new home. cheers! arielc
