Design Dilemma Furniture Living Room

Need help on placing my furniture in the living and dining room

The main door opens to the living room and I have been playing around with different sofa and tv console layout but it doesn't feel right. Just to highlight, the door in the master bedroom will be sealed up so that wall will be extended. Any suggestion

The dimensions aren't readable. Perhaps a floating seating arrangement to allow circulation along all 4 sides of the living room area.

Opps.. The entire living/dining area measures 5m width and 6.6m in length. Will use half the room as the dining area and the half nearer the bedroom as living.

Hello Cody, If the TV isn't going on the mantle wall than the only other available wall is the 13'5" wall. You might think about moving the TV to this wall and balancing it with art or plants. Your sofa can be turned with its back to the entrance/stairs and a small console table can be placed behind it to act as a visual stop. Your chair can be placed where the sofa currently sits or you could add a pair of new chairs to this area near the stair alcove which would create a smaller seating cluster there. Small benches could be placed in front of the fire for additional seating, when and if necessary. This one is a challenge, but if you don't mind the TV as focal point and the sofa perpendicular to the fireplace, this could work. Hi Fred, Thanks for the want of the precise measurements. The U shape area in my kitchen is 64" - 104 - 99" (left - centre - right). Height of the kitchen area is 107". The wall with the fridge has total length of 99" Fridge is 32" wide, 29" deep, 73" high (I bought this fridge on a good bargain but realized it was slightly oversized in this kitchen area, but got to live with it now) The wall beside the fridge is 23" deep I know some gap has to be left between this wall, the fridge and the wall mounted/countertop cabinets for ventilation I guess. So I'd say the cabinets on this wall will have a length of only 63"/64"? The microwave is 18.5 wide, 13" deep, 10.5" high The oven is 24" wide, 24" deep, 24" high. The wall next to the fridge which will have this feature cabinet 42" wide, 110" high which is next to the main door. I'm thinking the feature wall is kind of plain, but it covers up where the fridge is sticking out.

I suggest you speak to a geomancy master, if you believe it. The sofa should be placed on the longest wall in the house, Based on your layout, I see no area for that, unless you create a wall. Also, watchout for the door-to-door conflict for bedrooms 2 and 3.

Hi Trishtham, you can consider to have a see through TV feature wall or a glass panel wall with lower part as your TV console to create the location for TV and space for wall outside bedroom 2 as the location for sofa. If You want a spacious living room space, can even consider to extend the study room wall to push the TV feature further towards dining area.
