Ah ok! Thank you kind people I guess the vote goes to tile then. I haven't started but will overlay over the existing tiles. And yes I was referring to walls. I was shown lovely pictures of bathrooms that had painted walls but was adviced against it as a) my bathroom is pretty small and b) those picts were probably of powder rooms. Thanks again

What a great room! If you enjoy the general Monochromatic feel of your room I'd go with white or silver (see 'option2' photo) and let your accent pillows do the accenting! The blue hue on the wall actually simplifies your color options. Either pull that color in through a patterned application as mentioned above (see 'option1' photo) or just stick to silver/white. I would get a rubber tree, a photos (evil's ivy) and a dracaena deremensis, they all can live in low light and humid conditions. A ficus benjamina could do well there too. most of then grow very tall so your balcony would feel more like a little jungle or forest :)

Hi 4eva zx, It's not optimum if you don't want to build a bespoke TV wall/console where I've placed the TV here (suggest that you get something where you can swivel the TV towards the sofa, or slightly extend that wall so the TV can be directly in front of the sofa), but in terms of spatial efficiency, your round table would be better placed like so: This is so that it's near the kitchen and you can use it for meals for more than two people. This placement will also allow you to make this family heirloom a visual focal point and conversation piece for your home. If you ever need to use a bigger table for gatherings with more people, you can simply put a rectangular top onto the round table and seat 6-8 people – the placement provides for space that allows this. Find a good ID or decorator who will work towards incorporating this family heirloom in your new home, and you'll be able to enjoy it for years to come. Hope this helps!
