Help Choosing Flooring

I'm looking for help with new floors to place in my home. I want the same floor throughout to create one big space. My cabinets are dark and my furniture is midcentury. I currently have carpet and vinyl as my flooring now. I prefer engineered hardwood, but looking for different ideas.

With your contemporary look, I'd like to see a floor similar to the white oak flooring shown below. To get that color they used a Rubio Monocoat finish, which comes in a variety of colors. I personally like their White 5% finish. I'd use it to replace both your vinyl and carpeting, tho would probably choose a porcelain tile for the bathrooms and laundry area.

Wood and Marble are both non-porous thus it would cause etching and corrosion. Besides that, marble are high maintenance materials as they require high maintenance.
