Purely the patina of age! The floorboards were salvaged from a Welsh Chapel and then simply re-laid in the loft apartment with no further stain, lacquer or oil required. They are the type of boards that would originally have been in the warehouse.

Hi everyone, My basement got some water after the recent storms in our area. We had vinyl planks flooring and had to pull all of it out, damaging most of it in the process. We are certainly not looking into putting flooring down again, and we are considering epoxy flooring. I want to ask here your opinions, experience, and pros and cons of polished concrete floors Atlanta. Ideally, we would prefer to do it ourselves as the cost to hire out appears to be astronomical. Wood and Marble are both non-porous thus it would cause etching and corrosion. Besides that, marble are high maintenance materials as they require high maintenance. I think these floor tiles will work with the woody theme you're going for and the furniture you have! Their natural stone design and cashmere colour would complement wooden furniture. I'm not so sure about the grey wall though. It looks drab and paint job patchy. Could add a pop of colour/wallpaper and make it an accent wall if it fits in your design plan.
