Please help - Colour changes / updates

I would like to purchase new doors and windows for my house and shop. The roof is brown/grey. The eaves/facia/soffit are brown. They do not need replacing.

I am wondering what colour windows/doors to go with and then would paint garage doors on house and garage doors and shutters on the detached shop.

I really like black as I think it would update the house but wondering if too dark and perhaps a dark brown would look better.

Would also like to add a timber frame entrance at front step.

I would try to pull in the roof color (whatever that is) for windows, trim etc. White or black are too stark.

You can check out the outdoor floor tiles like the Scala (Google Snap and Go tile) which are easy to piece additionally on the ground for a new look. ;) I saw another brand here, http://list.qoo10.sg/item/OUTDOOR-TIMBER-FLOOR-TILE-SINGAPORE-SELLER-100-AUTHENTIC-BEAUTIFUL/482453309 (not sure where this brand is from but they all work the same). They even have faux grass, stones as well as timber. Definitely easy to DIY, and you can combine different surfaces together if you want (stones and wood combo for example).

if you lighten the cabinets etc, then the stone will appear more prominent. if that is what you want, that is fine. I sensed that you did not like the current counter. I would contact a marble/granite installer to see if they think that the cracks can be filled and polished out. it is pretty common to do this on new installations if it is feasible. they may try to charge you as as much as you would spend on a fabricating a counter out of a new slab if they did not do the original installation.

Hello there :) Nice design by the way. Perhaps you can: 1. Change the door panels only. Keep the existing shape & the cupboards, the carpenter can 'update' the doors with different handles too (like image above). 2. Spray paint is more $$$ but I think it is longer lasting. 3. Laminated is less $$ but as we all know it chips & eventually the laminate comes out (wear & tear). 4. Unless you want the inside of the cabinet to be changed from existing white to a different colour, then the carpenter have to dismantle everything & redo. Since your roof is brown, why not try brown for the windows and trim?

Yes I think so too. What do you think about the front door colour and garage doors?
