Suggestions on entry table lamp. Does the one in the picture look okay?

I quite like that lamp but not there. It seems to me that the table and most of the decor on it runs to "rustic." Since that's the case, I think a more sophisticated look might work well. Here are some ideas (though I encourage you to go with what you love):

Swap the flowers and the B so that the two tallest items are flanking it. Then rotate the mirror so it's horizontal. The lamp looks okay, a little short but fine for now.

Wow lots of windows. That is good and I love the bay window in the room. Floor looks beautiful as well. Is there a solid wall that the bed can go on, like on the wall to the left of the picture? Also I would staple backout to the window with the roman shade and then place a highboy, armoire or large peice of furniture in front that would cover the whole window and no one from the inside will know. You do put a roller blind inside the window pulled down so no one from the outside will know either. This will give you storage and make the room more functional. I would then place a desk in the bay for a great place to sit and write or a comfortable chair with table and lamps to read. Please post pictures of all sides of the room as that would be helpful with suggestions.

So is it a chair and a sofa? If nothing else they are a conversation piece! No one could ever enter your room w/o saying something. I love your idea. But if you are serious, remove the like striped pillow covers, and replace them with plain any colored pillow covers or continue the fun & add a zig zag black & white area rug & one or two more striped items, such as lamps & a painted zebra coffee table. I love it.

I think the lamp looks a little small for the length of the table. I would have equally tall things on both ends. Agree with Sina that making the mirror horizontal would be worth a try.

And maybe group the B, welcome sign and a candle (3 things) together in the center.

The style of the lamp works but I would go with a taller version.
