Hello, the floor was a whitish oak in a herrringbone pattern. Hope that helps.

Hi, Interested in the space between island and dining table, and dining table and bookshelf. I have a similar space, albeit narrower where I am working out whether a 3 space configuration like this would work. Looks like 90cm might be ok.

I also have an overwhelming need to see something curvy, flirtatious and round in the space. Consider this when scouting for decor and accesory items (i.e. round rug, curvy fluid light fixtures). Also, would it be a complete abomination to sand down the furniture (so it looks older) or painting it a new color before upholstering to modernize it? I agree with j222b's suggestion in that the furniture and space could benefit from some eclectic coverings but perhaps a neutral fabric against a new color that could bring out the carving of the wood could work too? In my head I see a rusty orange or deep aubergine purple or rich dark green. Just a thought...

I like large, abstract, colorful art placed at the top of stairs above narrow windows. https://www.houzz.com/photos/94th-street-townhouse-modern-staircase-new-york-phvw-vp~1326739 I like a small terrace to look good from the inside. Not too much furniture. Not too many plants to care for. A small round, wrought iron table + 2 chairs. A large urn in the center of the table with or without a hardy plant will be fine.

Had them in my previous house. They are definitely cooler than wood. If you have little children, avoid hard surfaces like that.

Hi, the space between the table and the island was 110cm, and between the table and book shelf was about the same. Hope that helps.
