Love this kitchen!

Could you share the paint color? Also, the material and color of the perimeter counter tops? Also, love the inset style, but have been told by every professional not to get them because I live in a town that is on the coast. Yet, it seems as though everyone has them! What is your opinion-have your clients had trouble with them?

Hi!

The cabinetry paint color is "white" by Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry.

The countertop material on the perimeter is Viatera Quartz in Cirrus.

As far as the inset cabinetry goes - we have been selling them for 15 years in coastal towns and have yet to receive a call back due to binding issues. As long as you are working with a reputable, high quality cabinet manufacture, and ordering adjustable hinges, you should be fine. We even have clients do inset cabinetry in homes without central air and they are still fine! You may need to give the hinges a few turns here and there to keep the doors lined up, but other than that, no complaints! Hope this helps!

I like the pics Vikrant posted! I've worked with two buyers recently who required counter space for their coffee bars. The wet bar or butler's pantry (depending on the age and style of the home) are good places to set this up if there's not enough space on the kitchen counter with other kitchen activity. Since it's your home for now, jazz up your cool coffee corner and enjoy! You might get bored with maintaining a cute chalk board. What about 2-3 bright prints? You can find cute sets which are already framed.

Thanks, lefty47. This is an older home, and just as One Plan guessed it is a soil stack from the upstairs bathroom. You are probably right that the cost of a custom solution may outweigh the benefits. Another idea I had, along the lines of the worktop bin suggested by One Plan, is a recessed spatula and long-handled utensil holder. I found out that Lee Valley sells motorized tv lift kits like the one used in the video above. It would be a matter of getting the contractor to build the box to go on the lift. I'm still a bit hung up on the idea, though it probably falls into your cost-outweighs-benefit category! I may bring this photo around with me when interviewing prospective contractors, just to see how they answer!

Hi, I am currently renovating my kitchen. Pictures of my tiles are below. I love wood grain cabinets. However, i am at odds as to whether I should get wood grained or solid coloured laminates. My designer told me that I can only choose from Arova n Jennings brand. He does offer EDL as well. But I do not like the solid colours from any of these laminate companies. A solid black colour will leave finger print marks easily. And I think grey is going to make my kitchen look monochromatic which I feel might get boring overtime. Some advice is really needed.
