Which tile with my granite?
I don't really like subway tile, but it seems like an easy choice. Take a look at the pic and let me know which tile you like better octagons or subways? (or suggest an alternative!)
(yes - there are squares between the octagons that are very close to our paint color)

Comments (2)I'm in Toronto too. When we needed smaller tiles, we ended up buying mosiac tiles which are small tiles glued to a mesh backing. We just cut the mesh and used them individually. Except maybe this one. I like it w/the off-white grout. this would be nice w/your granite and cabinets

this one is a large format, but perhaps you can find something similar . or, a really good tile setter would be able to cut these tiles in a size for your backsplash (say, 4x12) and then use the gold schluter metal strips as your brass inlay. It would be a bit of work, but no one else on the planet would have this exact backsplash w/your Alaska granite! a lot better than everyone in the world using white subway tile w/this countertop!

4 years agolast modified: 4 years agoKelly, I agree. I think a rich coppery brown tile w/a brass inlay would look gorgeous! and so unique. A good tile guy would be able to do these grout lines with a brass Schluter Jolly or something similar. I've heard of gold grout, but not sure how it looks.
