I love this colour scheme - can you tell me the specific colours?

Hi,
I'm in the throws of selecting colours for my kitchen reno and would love to know the cupboard door and timber trim colours for the cabinetry here.
I'm also curious as to whether the timber is a laminate or natural timber?

Hi Lou,

Thanks so much for your question regarding the colour scheme used in this Urrbrae kitchen.

This kitchen features two-pack painted cabinetry, custom colour matched to Dulux ‘White Exchange Half’ (half strength) in a satin finish with 3mm pencil round edges.

The 'timber-look' components are Polytec ‘Natural Oak’ melamine in a ravine finish.

The back panels of the open cabinets above the fridge and peninsula are also two-pack painted, custom colour matched to Polytec ‘Stone Grey’ in a satin finish.

Benchtops are in 20mm thick Caesarstone ‘Ocean Foam’ in a polished finish with pencil round radius top & bottom.

Hi, We suggest that you g⁠⁠⁠⁠o for grey (safer) or black (more "loud" and daring) laminate colours as it matches really well with the granite you have. These colours will definitely give a touch of elegance and express a modern look theme! You may also do polishing for your Granite to give it back its shine thus you will look like you have a new kitchen! Hi Rubypumps. Unfortunately you have made the common mistake of mixing undertones. I see this a lot as a colour consultant. Mistakes with your hard finishes are the worst kind because they are very costly to change. Right now your walls have a pink undertone and your walls behind the tub and counter are clearly blue grey. Since blue is complementary to pink, it brings out the pink in the tile even more and the clean blue makes the tile look dirty. It may be hard for you to see this, but this is what's happening and this is probably why you don't like your bathroom. Since you chose such a busy mosaic, it has become the boss (and focal point) of the room and I would now keep your other finishes as simple as possible. If you can, down the road, change the beige tile. Because unfortunately, there is no magic colour combination that will make it disappear. Working with what you have, I would most likely go with a more neutral cabinet like Uniboard G21 Viva Walnut. It will help warm up the space. Black is too stark for this bathroom.

I very much agree with what Beverly said regarding adding shutters to your home. You don't have the space on either side of the windows to accommodate appropriately sized shutters. Awnings would definitely be an option. Since you're in the Caribbean, you can add color by using a brightly striped awning. One shutter option that you could consider would be a Bahama Shutter. Since they mount at the top of the windows, you wouldn't have any problem adding them if you like.
