Cement tile is very popular in my area now. My client is considering it for a bathroom. I am unlikely to recommend epoxy or any other coating. It would change the look and feel too much. I prefer to apply penetrant. I call it that, rather than "sealer," because it does not prevent leaks, or even absorption in porous tile, or grout. It protects calcium based cement and grout from reacting with acid, but it is not perfect and it needs to be reapplied periodically. Wine, salad dressing, lemon, and any tart food would react with cement I am hesitant to recommend cement tile for a bathroom. I am afraid of it as a kitchen floor. Sure it is a knock-out gorgeous material, but will caring for it make some clients wish they hadn't fallen in love? I would like to hear from home owners who have lived with it for a few years. Has anybody lived with it in another Morocco?

My walk-in is slightly longer (1.60x3.60m) - I only have the design with measurements on paper, but I could look for it this evening, scan it and post it for you if you want. In the meanwhile, have a look at the photos of the finished room. We took advantage of the height and got pull down rails; also, a big shelf above the door and narrow shelves on the side. I take it this isn't your bathroom. The glass could be handmade lead light which means bespoke by someone who makes lead light windows or it could be a transfer applied to a plain glass window. Check on ebay or online sticker/transfer stores for similar. I've never seen a piece like that in Australia so I'm thinking this might be an American antique. It's not normal to put an expensive antique piece in a bathroom and if you did it would be best in a bathroom that only has minimal use. And you would want to have a lot of good exhaust extraction to get rid of moisture. If you picked up one of those repro Indonesian mahogany pieces you would be spending a lot less money and might regard the piece as expendable. You can buy wood hardening sprays that resist moisture from the hardware store and spray the carcass (all the unstained pieces inside) with this stuff to resist moisture. You'd still need a good exhaust system however and keep the room well aired.

Hi. It's looking really good and you've done well with the bookshelves! ! I love the new sofa! I would say just a tad more yellow if your husband can bear it, doesn't have to be solid yellow. I'd add something else on the left shelves (I'd move one shelf of photos to the right hand shelving and swap for some books), maybe a ginger jar if you can get an old one. Maybe a patterned throw or cushion for your wooden chair and a small yellow throw for the bench just draped over the corner. Table idea sounds great. Are you happy with it? I think it's made such a big difference
