Wall Paint Color Help Please
I'm trying to pull a color out of this Turner print (1 of a pair) for wall paint for my 746 SF Florida condo. I'm not afraid of color, but it's kinda dark in here already and I can't stomach the idea of neutral walls either. I took the print to the paint store, held up samples, and realized I was out of my league.

These colours will definitely give a touch of elegance and express a modern look theme! Comments (13)Hi Rubypumps. Unfortunately you have made the common mistake of mixing undertones. I see this a lot as a colour consultant. Mistakes with your hard finishes are the worst kind because they are very costly to change. Right now your walls have a pink undertone and your walls behind the tub and counter are clearly blue grey. Since blue is complementary to pink, it brings out the pink in the tile even more and the clean blue makes the tile look dirty. It may be hard for you to see this, but this is what's happening and this is probably why you don't like your bathroom. Since you chose such a busy mosaic, it has become the boss (and focal point) of the room and I would now keep your other finishes as simple as possible. If you can, down the road, change the beige tile. Because unfortunately, there is no magic colour combination that will make it disappear. Working with what you have, I would most likely go with a more neutral cabinet like Uniboard G21 Viva Walnut. It will help warm up the space. Comments (7)What a great room! If you enjoy the general Monochromatic feel of your room I'd go with white or silver (see 'option2' photo) and let your accent pillows do the accenting! The blue hue on the wall actually simplifies your color options. Either pull that color in through a patterned application as mentioned above (see 'option1' photo) or just stick to silver/white. I kinda went this direction with Magnolia's Bright Days. It's nearly identical to the plant in the picture. It's bold enough to not be too wishy-washy neutral, but won't fight other decorating decisions. I love the darker colors, but I struggle with getting enough light in here as it is.
I'll probably start rolling this afternoon and let you know how it goes.

The dancing bear, the lamp, the pictures, and Turner mirror are my choices. Everything else you see came with the condo (purple end table) when I bought it. This is a work in progress and any suggestions are welcome.
I'm pleased with the color, and the picture doesn't really do it justice, but after it was on I realized that it was very close to the color at my previous home which my ex-wife and I picked out. Small trade-off I guess. I'll think of her every day until I'm dead anyway, so what's a little wall color reminder? I'm not taking her back (well, maybe for a night or two) and I'm not repainting.
