Was it like this in the beginning or after installation? This could be the dirt trapped in between the spaces before the top protective layer was placed, or it could be that the top layer has worn out and is now just on its base layer. I recently got my BTO flat and i’d opted out the HDB Living room and bedroom tiles. We all know that HDB BTO kitchen tiles are not able to opt out. However, I recently found out that if I lay my own tiles for Living Room and Bedroom tiles based on the height/level of my HDB BTO Kitchen tiles, my main door and bedroom doors will not be able to open because door height is longer of about 0.5-1cm and the door bottom will need to be trimmed-off. Is this a defect from HDB Main contractor?
