Hello there! I do believe that this particular piece of art was actually purchased from Bed, Bath, and Beyond here in Edmonton, Alberta. I cannot say for sure, however, as this was my client's home approximately 2 years ago, and this piece was one of her existing belongings.

So is it a chair and a sofa? If nothing else they are a conversation piece! No one could ever enter your room w/o saying something. I love your idea. But if you are serious, remove the like striped pillow covers, and replace them with plain any colored pillow covers or continue the fun & add a zig zag black & white area rug & one or two more striped items, such as lamps & a painted zebra coffee table. I love it.

Hi. It's looking really good and you've done well with the bookshelves! ! I love the new sofa! I would say just a tad more yellow if your husband can bear it, doesn't have to be solid yellow. I'd add something else on the left shelves (I'd move one shelf of photos to the right hand shelving and swap for some books), maybe a ginger jar if you can get an old one. Maybe a patterned throw or cushion for your wooden chair and a small yellow throw for the bench just draped over the corner. Table idea sounds great. Are you happy with it? I think it's made such a big difference

Hi Rachel, This is quite easy to fix. Firstly I would brighten the space up with a white paint such as Nippon Violet Whispers (warm white), this will give you a good base to work from. Then I would replace your table with one that is larger. This table is too small to be useful and is making your entrance feel small. I recommend using teak and keeping this console table simple in design. On the wall I would place artwork - the bigger the better as this will make a dramatic statement. Then add some lighting (table lamp on console table) and decorative items and voila your entrance will be instantly chic! I have mocked up two options for you - one is based on blues, the other pinks, so depending on your preference you can go either way. Hi there! first I would recommend placing your sofa along the length to elongate your room. Your rug should be large enough so at least the two front legs of your sofa go over it. For low maintenance consider something with a print that will hide stains. For eg in my dining room I have a kilim that can take spills. You could also consider an outdoor rug (which you can wash) or something in a low key fabric like sisal/ jute. The latter will be inexpensive if you need to replace it. If you think that looks plain you can layer a smaller print rug over it to add textures to your room. All the best!
