The challenge was working within the constraints of a 450sqft apartment that had its common bathroom accessible only through the bedroom, and insufficient space to include a dining area.
Demolishing the bedroom wall to create an open living space with different areas of function was the solution, which brought in natural light throughout this studio apartment while maintaining flexibility for privacy via cleverly concealed operable wall panels. The balcony was converted to a proper alfresco dining space and lots of hidden storage built-in for functionality resulting in a cozy bachelor pad.
