Reply to: Thanks for the comments. The builder told us it was black pearl and has that listed in the information booklet he gave us. We did not seal it and the water does stand on the top of the counter and does not soak in. The mixer was on the counter for about 30 days. We will reach out to the builder and see what he says. Reply to: It is a delta faucet! I have a photo but the house isn’t done yet and it’s super dusty and dirty...let me know what you guys think. The black pendant lights I wanted were back ordered and double the price so we went with these other gold lights. The gold on the pendants and the gold on the faucet are definitely different but I find myself not really minding. What do y’all think? I’ll try to follow up with a finished photo of the place furnished!

Reply to: Unless you have a laminate countertop, I don't know why you'd choose a top mount. The freedom of just wiping your crumbs and crud straight into the sink vs picking it out of the edges of the top mount speaks for itself. Your second question is more complicated because it has to do with how you use a sink - not someone else, but you. Not only that, but people feel pretty strongly about their preferences.
