Drawers. Drawers. Drawers. You'll never go back to pull-outs again! I only had pull-outs on on either side of range/last house. It was a PITA to get out pots and pans. In our new home, I have drawers for them and everything else, including dishes and glassware. The only doors in the kitchen are under the sink (was suppose to be a pull-out, but I was too tired to argue that one) and my "wall of doors" (fridge/freezer, pantries and small appliance station).
My favorite is the pan drawer. NO more digging, and the slats are removable. The cabinetmaker had never seen or made one before. It would be easy to retrofit an existing drawer, if deep enough.
