Sisal carpet is so easy to clean and is cheaper than wood stairs. You can just sweep it off instead of dragging your vacuum and it lasts a long time I also love this railing. Much more secure than what is there now

So many people use cow hides in entry ways. They hold up to the foot traffic and are flat with out the pile to get stuck trying to open the door

Get a cow hide rug. Most people think they are high maintenance but they are SO easy to maintain. They can literally be hosed off-- ours is under our kitchen table and all sorts of stuff gets on it. It's a light color and has not been stained even spilling cran grape juice. It wipes right off, is easy to vacuum and is light weight enough for me to take outside and shake off of my own. A wool rug in that size is so much more work.

Bringing plants/small trees is great for your home to feel fresh and can rarely be done by you need tall ceilings. A small simple tree like this could look awesome in your living room

I like the big framed American flag. You need big art for the tall ceilings in your living room. Make a frame for it yourself.

Even though this is a little modern, a ceiling fan like this would add to the farmhouse feel by its mid century industrial-- it's a classic style that will always be timeless

I would make the breakfast area into a pseudo mud room area-- add storage cubbies for the kids and storage for jackets and additional pantry items

Adding old-style windows like this would add so much farmhouse character-- unfortunately old windows like this aren't energy efficient and new versions of them are so expensive. I think it could look great to use a window like this in the divider next to the secretary desk btw the kitchen and dining room-- take out the spindles and reframe a window like this.

Love the full ceiling look-- you could frame out the top of yours with some gigantic molding and panels

Butcher Block is cheaper than black granite and is gorgeous. It may be difficult to find one you want to go with the floors and its a little harder to keep in good condition but would Definitely give the farmhouse look

These doors are expensive and require the right support to hang them, but they are heavy, solid, have a ton of character, and are basically soundproof. It could be cool to have one in the foyer going into the hallway for bedrooms.

Love this farmhouse sink but it's expensive-- love the bead board cabinet detail. You could add some bead board and trim it out on the current cabinets-- spray everything white and they would look brand new

Love the wainscot ceiling-- baskets are also nice touches on the cabinet tops-- you should take off the spindle trim at the top of moms and add basic molding The latches on the cabinet doors look great and are probably childproof too
