Would it put me way over budget to just use the granite as a backsplash??

I really like the clean look of this backsplash
I also really like this backsplash...and going through old Houzz ideabooks, it also looks like I want a purple kitchen!
I like the backsplashes here, but I wouldn't want my entire backsplash to be mirrored. Perhaps just diagonal stripes?
I like the purple, muted tiles!
These tiles are from Lowe's, so I'm assuming they're not expensive. Again, perhaps a stripe or two of these with more neutral tiles?
