African Living Room Furniture

These African hand beaded chairs were made by the Yoruba people, hailing from South-western Nigeria, and Benin, in West Africa. These wonderful beaded armchairs are extremely sought after by Interior Designers for the hospitality industry. Unfortunately, they are not always readily available, as it takes approx 12 to 14 weeks to add these tiny beads, to a single chair. These armchairs were originally made for the Yoruba tribe’s royalty; their Kings and Queens were the only privileged ones allowed to sit in them, so basically they were African Thrones. Size in mm: approx. 635 x 635 x 737 (chair height)
