Aya Ishihara

This bedroom was designed for my 5 year old son who loves airplanes and anything to do with transportation. The bedding from Dwell Studio was the first thing that was chosen so all the colors seemed to play off of it, like the wall color and accessories. The artwork is a painting that I did that shows his name in English and Japanese characters. The floor pillow was made by his grandma and is made of a patchwork fabric with airplanes on it. The fun decals are from Target and the accessories are a mix of thrift store finds and Ikea. The wooden car used to be his dad's when he was little. He has a variety of collections, so we decided to display and store them in glass jars. We love subtle colors and wanted it to be a soft and calming space for our son.
