The homeowner did not want to part with the very traditional oak dining table and chairs and with the pine sideboard and hutch. The question became how we could make it a bit more modern. We changed the window coverings to a damask grommet topped drape. The beige colours help to tie in the gold tones of the furniture. We also changed the wall colour. In addition, by adding some black accents we were able to take the focus away from the furniture.
