Stunning floating glass tread cantilever staircase with glass panel balustrade.
Laminated glass treads are suspended in true cantilever with the large, one piece, laminated glass guardrail panel fixed into the ends of alternate glass treads for support. No part of the glass guardrail makes contact with the floor!
The project also called for us to design and install a glass walkway around the perimeter of the atrium opening to this contemporary house.
Glass guardrail panels to the two long edges of the walkway were each designed in one piece to avoid gaps, stretching the design to the max!
A satin polished stainless steel handrail mounted on top of the glass panels completes the look.
