The library ladder easily slides long the upper hardware to push it out of the way when not in use. It's easily removable to be able to use it on BOTH sides of the kitchen. Having a level floor and equal mounting height for the hardware were key factors in pulling this off. Having a GC who is willing to work with you on the more unusual/ non-standard moments can make or break a project.
