Avoid toxic chemicals: When furniture shopping, keep paint and other finishing products in mind. Paint, waterproofing treatments, leather treatments, stain-resistant products etc. can contain harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Look for products are VOC-Free outside and in.
