A bespoke, handmade Shaker style kitchen with ‘in-frame’ mortice and tennon jointed doors hung with traditional burnished brass butt hinges. This luxurious kitchen features Oak dovetailed and polished drawer boxes on soft-close concealed runners and rigid Birch plywood carcasses.
All units have been factory painted in Basalt Blue from Little Greene Paint & Paper, to complement the worktops in Silestone Quartz Blanco Zeus extreme.
All cup handles and knobs are in burnished brass. The range cooker is by Mercury, whilst all other appliances are from Bosch. The brassware is from Perrin & Rowe.

All the units along the two walls (L shape) are in white with Birch plywood trim. To provide some contrast, the island is in blue. The hob is inset in the island, so when you are cooking, you can chat to anyone sitting on the stools or in the dining area.

Emma and her architect-husband Mick had designed and extended their home, adding more space and light to their kitchen.
Being a keen chef, Emma wanted a totally unique kitchen that was going to reflect her gastronomic and colourful personality.
“I didn’t want my kitchen to be the same as anyone else’s. Now when my friends visit our new kitchen they say, ‘this room is so you!’ – I’m delighted with it!
“I explained to our designer Sue that I wanted a totally unique kitchen and she suggested lots of ways in which we could achieve that personal touch. Sue showed us beautiful wallpaper patterns that could be replicated in tiling and that’s where the idea for the bohemian tiles came from.
“We were working to a tight budget and Sue was so accommodating for this, by suggesting ways in which we could cut our costs without compromising our personalised design. It was refreshing to have that honesty in a supplier.
“We are so pleased with the outcome and the service provided, K&B Studios went out of their way to support us throughout the whole process and make sure we got the stylish, individual kitchen that we wanted.”
Johnny Grey Studios.
Inspired by the non symmetrical rhomboid shape Grey created this organically contoured island to fit the space perfectly. The hob is dropped into the concrete dais and a stunning wooden chopping board extends the entire length of one side. Grey favours concrete for islands as he says “it offers scope for customisation and also provides a contrast to surrounding wooden cabinetry, laminated and steel surfaces”. The raised solid English ash sever bar adds another level both visually and practically. The base is lifted on one side to allow light to play across the floor. The creative use of texture and shape add a sculptural dimension to this stunning yet functional piece.
