Kitchen Renovation- Photo by Jules Lee

Originally built in 1886 in Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood, this historic home underwent a major transformation and restoration. The homeowners wanted a space that would reflect both their modern-day lifestyle and the rustic qualities of an older home. The original kitchen had been small and closed off, so for the homeowners, allowing natural light into their new kitchen was a must. We opened up the space and added all new windows and a new patio door. With a busy family of five who love to cook, the kitchen also needed to be a workhorse. A long narrow island allows for ample counter space while floor to ceiling oak cabinets line one wall with loads of storage. The kitchen also features a stunning stone display ledge, gorgeous lighting, a dramatic custom range hood, and a small desk for all of their day to day needs.
