For their frequent dinner parties and for the love of cooking, these homeowners wanted to enlarge and improve the function and form of their kitchen. They wanted a space which not only complemented their contemporary art and furnishings, but could itself be considered a unique work of art. The backsplash is one of the more unique design features of the space. After exploring many options, the homeowners loved the idea of a backlit resin backsplash. Particularly challenging was determining how to fasten the panels to the wall while fulfilling the necessary functions of changing the light bulbs and keeping the counter clean.
