Leinster Square Townhouse - Seventies Revisted

The formal sitting room on the first floor of the home has the best view of the garden square and feels as if you’re floating over it. Studio L wanted to extend the atmosphere and infuse it with a wild glamour suited for the modern English bohemian. All textiles refer to materials found in nature. A custom chartreuse mohair area rug is the foundation, the intention being a luxurious blanket of lawn. The Pierre Frey curtains have a stylised floral print with an iridescent weft threading, the wallpaper imitates crystalised rocks and the taxidermy Ibis is a nod to the building’s green plaque former resident, famous ornithologist William Henry Hudson.
