Mezzanine sleeping platform
A mezzanine sleeping platform was built above the bathroom to free up space for a home office. A bespoke space-saver staircase, with alternate tread pattern, maximises useable space. Fitted storage behind the bed, and in the stair winder. The platform overhang is reinforced with steel.
The newly-exposed steel beam was coated with intumescent paint to meet current fire safety regulations.
