Modern Bath
The clients desired a room bathed in sunlight, with natural materials; a space that offered repose and contemplation. We used the East side’s high glazing to reflect light off the inverted ceiling plane, mirrors, light cabinetry, and chrome hardware. Maple was used for the cabinetry, and cork tile for the floors. A recess in the granite tub ledge creates the perfect spot for a glass of wine or candle. Back-painted glass, simple detailing, and stock hardware saved money, allowing the clients to splurge on the vessel sinks. The framed Jasper Johns print provides color and accent.
