Napier Avenue

Without doubt Napier Avenue is one of the most sought after addresses in Fulham, with the entrance to the prestigious Hurlingham Club at the end of the road. The clients have lived there for many years, and since the turn of the century Broseley has worked with the family on various refurbishments. In 2014, the family decided that they wanted to create additional basement space to house a golf course! Broseley were appointed to carry out this project, as well as further substantial internal re-configurations of space and purpose. The huge open plan kitchen had originally been a room with small windows overlooking the garden and a dark adjoining dining room. Broseley took down the dividing walls, opened up the space to create a large kitchen area incorporating a dining area and a sitting room, and installed floor to ceiling windows. Upstairs, a previously under-used drawing room was re-configured to create another bedroom, dressing room and bathroom, while the drawing-room was re-located to the front of the house. Original architectural features were re-instated, where appropriate, and a key benefit of all the work is that the house is flooded with light both front and back. This was very much a design and build project where Broseley worked closely with their clients on every decision and stage.
