New York Brownstone Garret
What we did with our garret of an apartment in an Upper West Side brownstone . . . the King size bed fills the room, but there's just enough room to squeeze a stage piano on the far side (accessed by a bit of a climb over the bed), sheer linen curtains were attached with velcro above the mini-blinds to provide a low-cost solution to filter light and disguise unattractive blinds (fabric blinds would have been decidedly pricier) - the only television in the apartment is wall mounted here - a built-in DVD player and AppleTV perched on the wall mount behind provide all the entertainment we need - only a white flat extension cord connects the TV etc. to the outlet at the bottom of the wall to streamline the unit
