Oakland Hills Residence
The kitchen remodel was a prime opportunity for sustainability. In addition to the use of non-hazardous green materials, all waste including the appliances were directed to proper recycling facilities. The LEED certified quartz countertops are made with recycled raw materials and contain no hazardous materials. The new cabinetry is not just low VOC and economical but is also recyclable should they be torn down again. The floor was existing and we simply worked with the neutral tones in the tile. Three base cabinets with pull-out bins were dedicated to recycling.
