One of our projects: white tiles clad the wall creating an industrial feel, which is softened by the dining chairs, and coloured cook books. Large amounts metal in the extractor and cooking appliances add to the industrial feel. White + stainless steel should feel cold but this open plan kitchen has such a homely ambience.
