A modern interpretation of the shotgun style. The single bar floor plan is extremely efficient with one room literally opening onto the next. The plan was designed with the intent of having a green roof, although it can work without this feature. A series of sliding doors open up to the long side of the plan allowing a strong connection between the interior and exterior and allowing natural light into the home. Again the project contains a modern open plan and is inspired by mid-century modern and case study precedents. Any number of green or sustainable technologies can be incorporated in the base design.
