Small Bespoke in Brooklyn Heights
Surprisingly, the bedroom had no closets. Storage was paramount. We used a similar arrangement for the closets in this room as we did in the hall. Here we added a pullout shelf that could be used as a desk or as place to fold or layout clothing. It is traditionally called a "slide-and-fold" drawer. It tucks back into the cabinetry when not in use. We chose a tightly woven grasscloth for the walls in a pale grey. More durable and less expensive than silk, it still works to soften the room and has the look of fabric. The bedding is from Serena and Lily. The duvet is a surprisingly inexpensive find from Muji.
