玄関から繋がる、みんなが集まる茶の間には、天窓（遮熱障子付き）から明かりに包まれ、ハンモックも下げてみたりしてそれぞれの時間をここで過ごします。冬はこの天窓障子を開けて、直射日光で日がな一日、室内を暖めます。
