“We are so happy with our experience! The architect and also the GC, Woody was so immersed, dedicated to our project- he guided us when decisions had to be made with excellent communications skills and also humor! It was exciting to see it all happen- and it was on time! We were living in the basement during the renovation and one night, it was storming, pouring rain- and this was before we had the roof completed, and he shows up in the middle of the night just to check on things to make sure water wasn't coming in! He was also very good at keeping us in-check with our budget. We are very happy with our new home!!”

“Tim Hagan took the smoldering remains of our burnt house and created something beautiful out of the ashes. He didn't flinch when he saw what little we had to work with, and, in a stress-filled year, managed to gently mold a beautiful house out of ashes and water. My assessment of Hagan Architects: totally professional, deeply caring, amazingly talented, delightfully innovative.”

“Robert M. Cain was the architect for my home, completed in 2009. Photos are elsewhere on this site. Robert M. Cain (Bob) is a brilliant designer and superlative master of construction oversight. As the project began, he listened carefully to us and perfectly and seamlessly incorporated our desires into the house. The building is both beautiful and extremely comfortable. It is a LEED Platinum Home. It has many high performance features such as solar panels and geothermal heat pumps. Passive solar concepts are inherent in the design and allow us the be comfortable much of the year without heating or air conditioning. It has many windows and feels like it is in a forest, although the location is urban. It is a calm and cheerful house. Working with Bob and his staff was a completely delightful experience; it was satisfying in every way. Mary B.”

“As a builder, I have worked with Steve on several projects over the years. I have been continually impressed with his sense of style and his ability to understand the nuances of construction. He understands the lines-on-paper to reality process. As a homeowner, I have hired Steve to do all the planning, drawing and design for my own home. His Ideas were thoughtful, unique and considered aspects of design and construction that are all too often easily missed. Having a good team of professionals for your remodel or custom build is a necessity. Steve at Axios Architecture has been that for me.”

“Daniel Martin designed a deck that spanned the back of our house. The deck included planters, seating, multiple levels, lighting and access from the front of the house. I would describe Danny's designs as understated--a cross between Frank Lloyd Wright and the mission style. The deck was designed for heavy entertaining. He was very focused on designing the deck to fit our needs. Danny even considered natural light and the positioning of the sun on the deck throughout the day as well as designing for privacy. Danny was always open to our feedback and we made several adjustments throughout the project. I would definitely recommend Danny and would definitely hire him again He is a true professional and cared deeply about meeting our needs.”

“It is so hard for me to visualize what exterior updates would look like on my house. We have a home built in the 60s and have slowly started changing things. To have Brick & Batten be able to show you visually what different updates would look like is SO helpful! They do such a great job!”
