“The company has acted already for us on two major refurbishment projects completed at just under £500000 cost in the last three years and are now giving us advice on two other larger flagship properties we own to convert commercial space into residential where we as a private fund own a portfolio of property We have found them very responsive and have always given us very good advice along with project management and design in often complicated situations They helped us enormously in obtaining listed building consent and other planning uses for alterations on two of our buildings despite one, very difficult Council They have also suggested and appointed contractors for us and supervised them We have too found their fees reasonable and competitive so we have only very good recommendations to make about the company”

She brought a highly structured approach to the process and good insights, imagination and flexibility to the development of the design. She was able to give a good steer through the various planning process hoops with an ultimately successful outcome - that despite the best efforts of the planners. “Kennet Design were so professional from beginning to end of our extension project and we really felt we had a personal touch and that they really cared about our plans and vision. The plans that were drawn up were brilliant and gave our builders the precise information they needed to carry out the work to regulation standard - even in a way that we understood, so we could keep an eye on the build and progress. “We decided to award Home Architecture the design contract for a large rear extension we had planned for our 1930s house. The designed drawing by Mike had some design options that at the time we had not considered. With this open advice and forward thinking vision we approved modification for the final drawing sign off. Its now some eight years since we had the extension done and still very much appreciated the input we had from the architects. The rear extension in brief consisted of a approx 6m x 4m single story extension, with tiled roof , velux windows and Bi-fold doors across the rear to open up onto hard wood decking. I would recommend Home Architecture if you are considering building works small or large.”

“Our requirement was a bit unusual as we needed to fit a new structure onto the rear of the house without compromising existing windows, and to create a novel and dramatic structure with ‘wow’ factor whilst transforming the overall look of the rear elevation. Where two previous architects had failed to find a solution that we liked, Lizzie took us through a layered process that ultimately delivered an exciting and unique solution. Through this, she developed a good understanding of what we were trying to achieve and we are delighted with the resulting scheme. Lizzie provided an excellent drawings pack that our builders rate as the best they have seen, and was highly effective at working through detail with us and the builders and key suppliers to ensure no issues or surprises as the build progressed. The final result certainly met and exceeded our expectations. Strongly recommend.”
