I showed him various ideas I wanted, Nick took those and drew up exactly what I didn't envision what could be done with me kitchen. He is professional, and super creative within budget, plus sets expectations.”

“Complete kitchen and living area remodel as well as master bedroom addition. Ellyn's timeless design helped us gain the full potential of our 50+ year old home. We have storage, open floor plan and flow which were lacking in the original home. Her idea of open shelving in our kitchen is one of my favorite features. Skylights in the master bathroom bring in natural light while maintaining privacy.”

“We asked Blake to consider turning our tired and well worn lake house into a home we would be proud of and enjoy going to once again. Blake brought us into the present day look of a lovely family house on the water. We rearranged rooms, moved doorways, took down walls and installed a fabulous wall of windows looking out on the lake. He heard us when we described our ideal house and blended his knowledge and creative experience and gave us the absolute perfect lake home. The kitchen, the open den, the bathrooms and the back porch all have the improvements needed with functionality and beauty. We just couldn’t be happier with our new look.”

“We hired David Benners to help us with a remodel of our old kitchen based on a recommendation of a friend in another city. His attention to details like the upper and lower 'reveal', the unusual shape of the peninsula, including a well designed hidden pantry, giving the cook a zone without interfering with other kitchen activity, emphasizing height that flows out of the living room space,etc. made a huge difference in the result. He also worked well with our contractor. He really listened to my concerns about functionality and turned them into art. He also accepted the constraints like finite amount of money and didn't complain (too much...:-) as well as didn't lose interest because of my 'eclectic' taste in furniture. In the end starting with an architect to give this project initial shape and direction pretty much cured my aversion to remodeling. It wasn't cheap, but the final value was much more than simply $$ spent. We are grateful for his artistic and professional contributions to this job.”

“We hired O'Brien to help us design our dream home in the country. We met with him (On the build site 170 miles from his office) and described exactly what we wanted...shape, size, floor plan layout. When he came back to us the layout was almost exactly opposite of what we asked for and you know what??? THANK YOU!!! Anyone we worked with could have done exactly what we asked for but Dave knew what we really wanted by listening to us describe our vision of the house. He's been GREAT to work with on making sure that we are happy with the results. We've built four other houses previous to this one and I can tell you he knows not only how to draw plans but also the business. Great ideas on how to save $$$ also. He's the real deal for sure.”

“Stephen adapted a stock plan for our house, which we called the Fieldstream. The in-office process was focused and creative, while the follow up and plan completion was perhaps a bit less timely. Nevertheless, the result in terms of functionality, flow, and great touches like the desk nook was great.”

“After reviewing Direct Home Designs information on Houzz, I decided to contact Wendy. She promptly returned my call. We set up a meeting within the next couple of days to discuss new house plans. After sitting down with her and discussing my "wants" and my attempts to sketch the layout, I knew she was the perfect person to design our new home. She really listened to what we liked and didn't like. She asked questions on how our current house functioned. She brought up items we hadn't even thought about! Needless to say, our new house plans are wonderful. We will be breaking ground soon and I can't wait to post pictures so everyone can see how great Wendy's work is!”
