“We hired Lume Architecture to design our "forever house" (and Lume Projects to build it). All throughout the design process (which took a couple of months), Lynnsay provided a great combination of guidance and openness to our ideas, incorporating what worked and providing - always respectful but firm - guidance on what didn't work, which was very much appreciated. Whenever we were in danger of going down too deep into a rabbit hole, Lynnsay would bring us back and keep things moving. The careful planning certainly paid off during the building process and beyond in everyday life, with no surprises or modifications on the way. We especially appreciate the practicality of the house and the amount and quality of natural light, which is brilliant. All in all the design and build were much better experiences than I dared dream possible.”

“Architest are a unique company who built our new home's floorplan to scale in their warehouse using foam blocks. It was a brilliant way for someone like me to visualise what our new home would look like in terms of spatial awareness, positioning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, windows, doors and even our staircase. It really bought our potential renovation/build to life. The 2 walk-throughs of our home allowed us to change some ideas and tweek some rooms we weren't sure about before we submitted our final plans to Council. Thanks to Simon and his team for having the initiative to develop such an impressive service that is sure to be a winner for all future renovators. Can't believe it has never been thought of before.”

“‘Culvert House’ Trentham, Victoria, Australia Sustainability is most definitely one of our core values. We highly valued where we were living, at Westwyck, an acclaimed ‘eco development’ in Melbourne’s inner north. However, deciding on a ‘tree change’, we bought land in Trentham in the Central Highlands of Victoria. Needing a designer with similar values for our new home, we began and ended our search at ‘Maxa Design’. At our first meeting it was immediately apparent that Sven Maxa and Niall o Healaithe, the latter the designer assigned to our project, were kindred spirits. Immensely personable, relaxed, yet clearly attentive and receptive to our ideas, we left that first meeting knowing we need look no further. We presented them with the following ‘vision’. We asked them to: Create a contemporary home that mirrors an uncomplicated lifestyle. Create a design that modestly reveals an understated depth of character. Create a space that embraces its inhabitants. We outlined what was important to us in our house design, and certain products, features and finishes that we were determined to use. From this stating point, Niall worked closely with us throughout the project, using his expertise and experience to develop our ideas and suggest refinements or variations for our consideration. Photographs of our completed home can be viewed on the ‘Maxa Design’ website. We have now lived in our new home for 9 months. Suffice to say here that we couldn’t be more impressed if you ran over us with a steamroller! (Ian and Pam Cornthwaite)”

“Anchor Homes built a home for me at their factory in Stratford Victoria and transported it to my land in Bowral NSW, they arranged connection of services built a carport and garden shed and finished all work ready for occupation. The house was based on their Tambo design, they customised the design to my requirements, the end result is better than I expected, any issues were dealt with in a professional and timely manner. They quickly determined the style I preferred and made excellent suggestions, nearing completion the positioning of the house on the land had to be altered due to the Surveyor making an unexpected change, what was a very stressful point in the process was resolved with the minimum of fuss. I was updated each week with a report and images of the build, something that I particularly enjoyed. I would use Anchor Homes again.”
