“No question, our house was a challenge. Kirsten and D3 were tasked with recreating plans for a 105-year-old house as no blueprints existed... the greater challenge, however, was the Heritage Revitalization Agreement with the City of New Westminster. Along with heritage specialist Elana Zysblat, Kirsten helped to save another house in the Queen's Park neighbourhood. Creative and thoughtful design to maximize space inside, and conservation-sensitive exterior modifications have resulted in a house that has one of the biggest - if not the biggest floor-space ratio in New Westminster. Neighbours have commented that aside from looking sharp and clean, the house generally looks the same from the street... exactly the goal that Kirsten, Elana and the City were trying to achieve. We are very pleased with Kirsten and her enthusiastic, patient and professional approach. When the work required to complete the heritage revitalization process exceeded the original budget, Kirsten put in many extra hours and did not charge us - and offered to perform any additional services at a reduced rate. Their inspector Burt arrived two days later, on time, did an efficient review of the roof, took pictures of the maintenance that needed doing, and I had a complete report in my inbox the same evening. Apparently roof inspections are not cheap, so prepare yourself.”

“We worked with Hólos Architecture + Design to do the interiors and aesthetics of our new home and were very impressed with the outcome. Rushika has an excellent eye for creative design, her attention to detail is impeccable, and she brings a modern aspect in her work, all within a reasonable budget. She has been intimately involved with every phase of the process, from initial layout to choosing a color scheme, to even picking fabrics for our new sofas. Rushika has made an effort to understand our needs, and listened to our inputs to ensure every part of the home reflects our taste. What particularly makes her stand out from the other designers is that she is also an architect. She posses a deep understanding of building structures, materials, scale, lighting, etc., and integrates this knowledge into a functional design. Her talent as a Photographer is a plus point!
