“We hired Envision Design Build to help us design our kitchen remodel in conjunction with a large sliding glass door. We knew we wanted to open up the kitchen, add an island and create an indoor/outdoor feel and accessibility to the backyard patio. Envision took the time to create a plan that not only worked well within the space, but also worked best for our family. The project came out better than we could have imagined! “Victor "Dean" Sinco is an excellent architect and he has an excellent team of drafts-people at Entheos. He is both creative and practical. He comes up with ideas that look good but are also cost-effective. He knows how to make new construction match original construction. He is great at supervising the work and coming up with solutions on the spot for any problems. He has always responded to me in a timely way. He has done both large and small projects for me. For one large project, he designed a guest suite addition to my house that added a laundry, kitchen, and screened porch to an existing bedroom and bath. At the same time he designed a roof extension, a new laundry room plus a solar water heater room, and a complete renovation of two bathrooms, one of them handicap. A few years later, he turned a walk-in closet into a half-bath plus a smaller closet and turned garage storage into interior storage. Recently, he designed a fence, gate, and lanai for me. I will continue to use him for any future projects.”

“My husband and I were pretty intimidated when we initially started looking around for help with our kitchen design because it seemed like we wouldn't be taken seriously since we're not working with a mansion. We just started growing our family and are fixing up a modest two bedroom so we wanted to keep costs minimal while maximizing our space. Of all the contacts we made, Aaron was the only one willing to work with our modest budget; he did so with complete understanding and enthusiasm and we were blown away by his compassion to help out. Working with him was very easy as most our correspondence was via email and he was always accommodating of any concerns or questions we had. I highly recommend Aaron Shimizu for his approach with first-timers and for solving what seemed like an insurmountable game of Tetris with our galley kitchen.”

“Exceeded our expectations! H.K. Took the time to get to know us ensuring our home design fit our life style and the area we were building, he was always there for us when ever we had questions and needed help and let me tell you being a first time home builder we needed help Down to the smallest details. Our home was built on a small island in the British Virgin Islands and needed clear detail for the builder and to get proper quantities which is very important when material is delivered via barge. Details including all the lights were picture perfect, now we have a home that is the envy of the BVI's and unlike everyone we know everything works and looks great. I will load some photos to really tell the story of how H.K. was able to make our dream come true.Thanks H.K. “I had a great time with John at Lapis Design Partners. He worked with me from the very first meeting to the final walk through process of my house located at Kahala neighborhood in Honolulu. He spent a great deal of his time into this project since I was not in full time residence during the process. We communicate over email, phone conversation and fax very intensively. He and his partner, Susan as a professional long-time interior designer always respected my views and wishes toward this dream house. I enjoyed the relationship with John during the process and appreciated very much for his professionalism as an architect and his responsiveness to the job. The results came much more than my expectations. We received one of AIA Honolulu awards. Most importantly, my time during the process was enjoyable ! Highly recommended.”

“This project was so fun to be a part of! The team at Bento Box was great to work with, and we are really impressed with how well the Bento Home turned out. They made excellent use of our Fleetwood doors and windows to make the home feel very open, the space saving designs they used for the interior are extremely intelligent, and the warm finishes have you feeling right at home immediately; making this the best ADU we have ever seen in Hawaii!”
