“When it became apparent that I was going to need to do something about the kitchen in my 1893 Queen Anne Victorian house, I needed some help. Pretty much everything, from the appliances to the floor to the cabinets and countertops needed to be addressed. I knew I wanted quality solutions, and I was prepared to spend appropriately, but not extravagantly, to get that result. Most importantly, I wanted a kitchen that looked like it fit in a house built in the late 19th century. But I really had no idea where to start and could not spend significant amounts of time figuring it out. I asked Shawn Gordon if he could help, not sure whether this was in the mainstream of the work he did. I could not be happier with the result. Shawn meticulously researched period-appropriate alternatives for every aspect of the project. He took colors, architectural style, lighting and practicality into consideration.
