“Load bearing not load bearing? DYI or contract out? AR2 Structural Engineering helped us answer these questions quickly. Adam arrived on time and ready to survey. After a comprehensive inspection, the wall was determined to be load bearing. This was a minor set back as the remedy would need to accomplished before our kitchen cabinets arrived. Adam produced the necessary detailed drawing quickly and at a reasonable rate. I would highly recommend AR2 to be apart of anyone's DIY project. He is fair, his inspection is thorough and his drawings delivered in a timely manner. We will be calling Adam again when it will be time for our basement build out project.”

“My husband and I are remodeling both of our bathrooms, and want to open up our kitchen area so it works better with the layout of our house. Marcus has been working with us and he's been fantastic. Even though it is just a remodel, he's given us so many great ideas to tie the whole house together, as well as help us understand what is worth spending money on for the long run, and where we could save. He's making the process really fun and exciting, and I can't wait to live in a house that is finally well designed and perfectly us. Also, he lives is San Luis Obispo, CA and we live in Santa Cruz, which I thought might be a problem when it came down to meeting one on one, but he was very flexible and has been shooting up to meet with us multiple times bringing beautiful sketches of ideas, or examples of materials for us to look at. I hightly recommend him for big or small projects. He's truely a professional.”

“Bob introduced us to our architect, then he and his fabulous crew proceeded to translate bare blueprints into a beautiful three-dimensional home: a complete remodel of a 1950s tract house. We were onsite almost daily, and every time we showed up the foreman met us with a smile and pertinent questions. We got plenty of homework--many decisions to make--but it was doled out in moderate doses, with plenty of time for us to think about our responses. The entire job took ten months, a couple months longer than anticipated, but the delays were inevitable and we are absolutely delighted with the end result. Although the cost went over Bob's initial bid, it was by a bare 3%. We enjoyed the crew so much that we're hosting their Christmas party--in the house that they worked so hard to make just right.”
