Custom Home Finish
Carpenters in Putnam.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars10 December 2012
“Custom Home Finish did a wonderful job for us. Kevin helped us create an entryway perfect for our family. We talked through a few rounds of what it would look like until it was just what we wanted. He also custom made closet doors for an odd shaped unit of built in shelves for us. Kevin and his team were very professional and on time and reliable. I will be hiring them again in the future.”

“Tony has built two custom pieces of cherry furniture for my house: a three-piece bookshelf and a powder room vanity. They're both superbly constructed, and when I show them off by photo to my friends, they always elicit awe. I have gotten to observe Tony building in his workshop, and he is a perfectionist, down to the last detail. In addition to building the vanity, he tiled, installed crown molding and painted. He's multi-talented and is thoughtful when it comes to problem-solving inherent in any home renovation project.”

“The biggest job that I had A.J.McCullough Carpentry do for me was to reside my house with vinyl siding. Andrew did a wonderful job even adding some touches of trim around and under my deck that I hadn't expected. He has even come back to repair some storm damage that ripped some wiring from the siding of the house. I have seen numerous examples of A. J. McCullough's work. His company is the only one I will hire for all my future remodeling and repair work. http://www.ssgreenberg.name/Pictures/2010/05-03-HouseResiding/index.php”

“Mark Quigley has been our go-to construction company for years. We would not hire anyone else at this point. They are utterly reliable, creative, timely, and able to tend to our personal requirements to make the work as least disruptive as possible. Mark himself is a consummate professional, and his staff of workers are terrific both in skill and in their attentiveness to clients.”
Oliveira Painting and Carpentry

“Frank and his team did a wonderful job bringing our deck back to life! Our previous stain was fading and peeling, and the deck was in desperate need of some sanding and new stain. Frank and his guys were friendly and very knowledgeable, and helped explain the importance of a good quality stain, and made recommendations on brands and colors that would work well for us. In true summer-in-New England fashion, the timeline of the project needed to be adjusted to work around heavy rainfall. Throughout the process, Frank made sure to communicate with us and let us know the progress that they had made, and next steps. They were diligent about continuing to work on the deck when the weather allowed - even on 80+ degree days! The team's dedication and hard work really shows - our deck looks amazing and we are so happy with the outcome! I would absolutely recommend Oliveira Painting & Carpentry for anyone looking for quality work and excellent customer service.”

“We hired this company to create a living space in our basement. We had an idea and a time constraint and Tom the president worked with us to create our space within the timeframe. Everything promised was delivered. He and his workers were great, always timely and the project was always left clean. We love our new room!”

“I hired MCC to redo my kitchen. In short - they did a fantastic job and we absolutely LOVE our new kitchen! MCC did everything from leveling the floor to putting our decorative knobs on the new cabinets. Chris even discovered some weather damage to our siding which he fixed (and did correctly, as the previous owners took some shortcuts). What stood out the most to me was that he and his team took the time to put up plastic barriers over the doorways to contain the dust and keep it from going into the rest of the house. They also cleaned up after themselves every day. Every. Day. Not only professional, but just a good guy, personable and easy to work with. He and his wife managed all the vendors (scheduling of plumber and electrician) and ensured everything was up to code and properly inspected. My husband and I cannot recommend them enough and will definitely be using them for future projects.”

“I contracted DBI Woodworks for a commercial project (office space) in Newton last year. I wanted to design a circular reception area for a pharmaceutical company developing cancer drugs active at the cell nuclear level. The idea was to create the reception area as the inside of the nucleus, magnified 1 million time. I also needed a large curved reception desk. Dovi and Efraim from DBI were fantastic to work with (and that comes from an interior designer with a long family tradition of master wood workers and cabinet makers). They became part of the brainstorming team to help me figure out how to create curved perforated walls (nuclear pores in various states of dilatation/contraction) for a 24 ft diameter room. At all stages of the process I was impressed by their professionalism (deadlines, quotes, delivery/installation). I think they actually enjoyed the complexity of the project, and showed me how incredibly creative and skillful they can be. Using their CNC machine has since then inspired me a lot! Cannot wait for the next project with them.”
