    “I chanced across Anne’s stall at Whitehaven Home & Gardens Festival, and boy am I glad I did. I was feeling overwhelmed with every room in the house needing something doing. Anne was the consummate professional. I don’t know what I was expecting but I just can’t describe how fantastic she is. She used lots of my own ‘stuff’ advising how to upcycle and recycle to great effect. I purchased a ton of soft furnishings and she returned to help me choose which ones were best. She introduced me to Express Plumbing Supplies (ESP) a new plumbers merchant/bathrooms/fireplaces in Whitehaven. She stages their bathroom displays, I found a radiator and flooring to complete the bathroom there. She emailed me a report detailing all the ideas for the 6 rooms we had discussed along with some mood boards.She is unfailingly pleasant, exceedingly knowledgeable , very approachable, and just brimful of superb ideas. Call her today! You will not be disappointed.”

    “I worked with Geoff back in 2014 when he designed a pair of semi detached houses for me. I cannot recommend him highly enough; he listened to what I wanted and no adjustment however small was ever any trouble. I truly believe Geoffs expertise resulted in the best possible houses I could have hoped for on the site. His many years of experience shon through and he provided me with invaluable advise throughout my build.. I'd use him again in a heartbeat.”

They are able to listen and reflect upon our design choices as well as appreciate our wider needs and respond with a range of creative alternatives which stay true to 'the brief'.     “When designing our extension, we started looking at log burning stoves to create a feature. Having done a fairly exhaustive internet search where we discovered that anything out of the ordinary was frighteningly expensive and frankly not really what we were looking for, we were pointed in the direction of James the Firemaker by an acquaintance. A series of emails and telephone conversations followed during which we explained what we wanted and James showed us a number of suggestions. The requirement for a door created a few stumbling blocks but between us we came up with the rather unusual flap down door enabling the fire to become a stove instead of the rather less efficient open fire (a feature that did not seem to exist on anything else we could find in the swivelling circular fire market). Deposit paid and the fire ordered, we were given the specification for the supporting structure to be built into the ceiling and when the time came and the building work was almost complete, James delivered the fire and even assisted in the installation. The result is a fantastic fire which is the focal point of the room and a talking point for anybody seeing it for the first time. It was delivered on time and budget, the design is exactly what we wanted and the workmanship is superb. I would wholeheartedly recommend James for anybody looking for something out of the ordinary.”

    “I haven't always loved my Bathroom. At one point it was a miserable, impractical space. I went to Cherie to a vague idea and a budget to give it a make over. She worked with me and with in my budget to create a space that is not only a functional family bathroom but also pretty to look at. She organised everything from tiles to taps. Involving me in all the decision making and clearly explaining every option and how well it would work for our family. She organised the purchasing and fitting of it too. Helping the makeover to flow smoothly with the least amount of stress, time and disruption to my busy work/family life.”
